YVES ENZO PARIS shirt: Spread collar, cotton gauze, comfort fit, 60% cotton 36% polyester 4% elastane.
Cotton gauze is a superb fabric: lightweight, breathable, and naturally crinkled.
-Golden Rules for Washing Gregory:
While standard cotton can handle heat, cotton gauze features a loose weave that shrinks easily.
Ideal Wash: 30°C maximum (86°F) using a "Delicate" or "Hand Wash" cycle.
Protection: Use a laundry mesh bag. The gauze weave is fragile and can snag on zippers or buttons from other garments.
Detergent & Spinning: Use a mild detergent. Set the spin cycle between 600 and 800 RPM. Excessive spinning can break the fibers and set permanent creases.
-Drying and Ironing Gregory:
No Tumble Drying: The dryer is the #1 enemy of cotton gauze (risk of massive shrinkage).
Air Dry: Hang your shirt on a hanger immediately after washing. Fasten the top button to help it maintain its shape.
Do Not Iron: Ironing will flatten the fabric's signature texture! Cotton gauze is designed to keep its naturally crinkled and embossed look.
Steaming: If the shirt appears too wrinkled, a quick pass with a garment steamer is more than enough.
Important Note: If your shirt appears to have "shrunk" after washing, don't panic—this is normal as the fibers tighten. By wearing it for a few minutes or applying a bit of steam, the fabric will relax back to its original size.
